FAQs

WHY SWITCH TO A DENTURIST?

When you are looking to replace your natural teeth, we understand that the process can be cluttered by miss-leading options and solutions. Your appearance, self-confidence and entire image is on the line! Trusting a Denturist at our clinic is placing your overall image in the hands of a highly skilled and trained professional who is dedicated to your satisfaction.

Your Denturist has been trained specifically in the form, function and esthetics of all denture appliances as well as implant technology. Our expertise allows you to have all of the options explained to you. We give you the guidance and education required to take control of your own dental health.

With over 30 years of dental background and experience, you can be assured that you will receive the highest level of expertise and quality service.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A DENTURIST AND OTHER DENTAL PROFFESIONALS?

Your Denturists’ work does not end after you leave the dental chair. They are personally involved in all aspects of your case.  A Denturist has the advantage of seeing and communicating with you to determine your exact needs and specific expectations. If you have always had a space between certain teeth or a certain look that makes you, you, we can recreate that in your new denture to ensure a fully personalized denture.

Denturists are denture and implant specialists. We see hundreds of dentures with unlimited variations. These experiences allow for your Denturist to have the most hands-on experience with your dentures and are the best professionals to help you maintain and live a happy life without the worry of a poorly fitted denture.

All of our clinics have an on-site dental laboratory to offer same-day services. This means that all alterations, adjustments or repairs to your dentures can be made while you wait.

HOW MUCH DO DENTURES COST?

We offer FREE consultations. This is intended to allow clients to come visit our premises, and go through the possible treatment options. We offer several different types of treatments that range in prices. This is why it is best to come into the clinic and discuss what you are looking for, in order to choose the proper treatment plan.

DO I NEED AN ANNUAL CHECKUP WITH DENTURES?

Yes! Your oral health and ability to properly chew food affects your overall well-being. Your dentures rest on a foundation, your gums and jaw bones. Over time with chewing habits, your dentures can settle and can come out of proper occlusion. This can cause sore spots and make your denture unstable, feeling loose.

During an annual appointment, we check all of your oral tissues, looking for signs that the dentures are becoming unbalanced. Your Denturist is trained to assess the oral cavity for lesions and signs of inflammation that you might not be able to recognise. By keeping up with oral denture care, you can slow down any natural resorption, keep your mouth healthy and help maintain the fit of your denture.

HOW LONG DO DENTURES LAST?

There are several different types and qualities of dentures. At our clinic we offer several options,  and even our standard denture has above average quality materials. However, no matter the quality of your denture, your mouth and jaw are continuously changing. Due to this, your denture fit and function can be affected and will require a reline, rebase or need to be remade at some point.  Many aspects such as bad habits, individual tolerances and past denture experience can affect the life of a denture. An average denture will last five to eight years if properly maintained.

Many people attempt to adapt to a poor fitting denture. These individuals may live with a denture that is over 20 or even 30 years old, and swear there is nothing wrong with their dentures. It isn’t until something goes wrong that we see them in the clinic. These situations can make it very difficult for someone to be rehabilitated to a new denture. As Denturists, we have the most expertise in these situations and can use our advanced knowledge to help you adapt to a new proper fitting denture.

HOW DOES SOMEONE ON A FIXED INCOME AFFORD THESE SERVICES?

At our clinic, we understand the need for dental appliances. Due to this, we offer FREE consultations and stay competitive in the industry. We will not be undersold on similar quality treatments.

Many of our clients are on fixed incomes. To help these individuals, we offer personalized, 0% financing treatment options. All of our estimates include all fees associated with your treatment. You may use your receipt for income tax deductions under medical expenses.

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

We can submit an electronic claim to your insurance company on your behalf. We send in a pre-determination to your insurance company before we start any work to ensure that you know how much will be covered, leaving no surprises.

We are also happy to serve clients who are part of Veterans Affairs, ODSP, Ontario Works, Essential Health, and NIHB.
